DEG needs the services of an experienced Android developer to make some modifications to an existing App -search for GoMobile Network Test. Once the testing is completed, the user logs on to the web portal to access the raw results. This can be found at [url removed, login to view]
The current work is estimated to be worth approximately $750-1000 US
We have a number of additional projects to undertake with the app but need to confirm that the Freelancer team can work on this type of app.
The specific changes required now are:
GoMobile - Network Performance Testing (NPT) module the app generates three 0 black results even when it does the download and ping successfully and then fails on the upload. Please review to ensure it can represent a positive result for the first two and then a 0 for the upload. It is the upload that fails in most networks. The same change needs to be applied to the Time Series Testing and the extended NPT modules
GoMobile - Network Performance testing module can you implement a choice for the tester in settings that offers to do the NPT in either the current Full or a Lite version that samples the speedtest for a max of [url removed, login to view] download and the upload for only 250kbp? This will suit the more remote testing locations
GoMobile app I have a client that wants to be able to provide access to the app to 50-100 different people, but that all of their results come to the single account this is something that we will offer clients moving forwards.
GoMobile - the Call Drop feature is not working to full capacity. Where the phone is "out of range" then it is not able to make a call and therefore not creating a call drop pin. This is under generating the true number of calls in a location. You may have to create a different pin the represents the time where the phone is out of range and unable to achieve any type of network call? Priority 2
GoMobile app requires the user to have network coverage in order to connect. we semi-regularly find ourselves in a place where the app freezes and the only way to move forwards is to close the app. If that occurs where we are out of network coverage then we cant continue to test. Can you modify the app so that like a Windows 10/log in if off line it will use the last login? Is there another way to resolve this? Priority 1
