PHP, gravity forms (wordpress job) - gravity forms to modulus checking API interaction
Hopefully a job that can be tackled over the next couple of days at a low fixed price (not more thatn £35 gbp).
Experience with Gravity forms webhook coding and a decent level of PHP coding prowess is ideal. In reality though not much understanding of gravity forms is really required for this task, it would probably just be helpful to speed up the implementation.
I’m looking for a ongoing intermittent development assistant with decent level coding skills ideally with gravity forms development experience but mainly decent php /wordpress coding knowledge and decided to use this small project to find someone.
I’m under a lot of time pressure right now and this is a job on my todo list so I decided to use it for assessment purposes. I come from a development and (university) teaching background.
This is a Small introductory test job involving interfacing with a gravity forms webhook and writing a bit of PHP to send out data to a well-specified API and deal with the response.
We are dealing with literally three fields of data here so it's not rocket science more in the way of a test for speed and quality.
Should be doable in one day (much less really if you know what you are doing ,probably an hour or 2, or less if you've done something similar before)
You will be Given access to a working development installation of gravity forms and access to a test api for modulus checking. Code samples and API descriptions etc will be provided. Success is based on successful completion of a send and successful display of the response table in the context of having submitted a gravity forms form submission. I will also vet the code from the perspective of achieving a minimum of basic good practice.

Observe the test setup where it says: try it
- that's basically what we will be replicating but with just a single implementation - my preference is for php and html table output.
We will be taking an ultra simple gravity forms form with minimal fields all strings:
The task is to pass this data to the test api in the correct fashion and echo the response table in a user-friendly way. You only have to echo the response to screen you don't have to deal with different error codes etc individually.
You can do this in whatever way works (as this is only a stopgap solution for me until I get round to coming up with something smoother) but I would recommend approaching it as below:
The way I would probably do it is to use the
Gravity forms webhook

I would pay particular attention to the bit about sending data to a third party
I would then look at the code sample for PHP provided by PCA predict and use that as the basis for the PHP specifics. That's pretty much it.
I will give the chosen dev temp access to a development WordPress installation with gravity forms etc and specific details regarding a temp test account with pca direct.
A successful solution (PHP code to paste into [url removed, login to view]) lets me enter the three bits of data into the basic gravity form ( i’ll provide the initial form for you) then upon pressing submit displays the response table received from the PCA predict API in some relatively attractive fashion. That's it!
Hopefully this will be a very short hands off, successful project for me - but i will be available to help out a bit if necessary. Please only apply to do this job however if you are confident you can do it (your PHP experience is really the key here I would say, as if I have to end up doing it myself then this experiment with freelancers will have been a failure - I'm sure you get the idea.
So I hope to hear from you soon
