PHP & JavaScript - Joomla Extension

I’m using Joomla to make a clock that counts down to the “next” event from a Google Calendar. I’m using the extension Smart Countdown 3 which is working really well for grabbing events and providing a countdown.
What I am struggling with is providing the other part of my client’s brief, the current time shown in exactly the same format below the countdown minus the labels (Hours Minutes Seconds). This current time needs to be pulled from the client side computer rather than from the server because the customers of this clock move time-zones between usages and don’t want to choose a timezone on every use, they just want to adjust system time and be done with it – so client side system time is ideal.
The end user will use this on various monitor and screen types like laptops, iPads and Smart TVs. Smart Countdown 3 auto-resizes on page load using JS, it works really well.
Ideally I need to have an extension that has the exact same responsive behaviour, layout and font as Smart Countdown 3 that I can add to the page below SC3 so it looks seamless. I will provide the SC3 files to enable copying the responsive behaviour.
