Dear Yknox,

I am looking for someone who could do a project for me in the ns3 simulator (please be informed, that the budget is flexible, I do not know the rates, so in case you are interested, kindly please suggest your budget and time).

The project is to design the co-existence of LTE and WiFi networks in the unlicensed 5 GHz (WiFi) band. Coexistence should be designed on the LTE side and work in such a way that the LTE base station scheduler could also manage WiFi stations. The algorithm would use the RTS-CTS mechanism derived from Wifi. Specifically, the LTE scheduler, before it transmits, sends the CTS to Self subframe with information on how long it reserves the medium. Then the LTE base station normally transmits its frames. After this time, the transnimi eNodeB stops broadcasting and sleeps all UEs. Then the cycle repeats itself.

This project concerns only the proper implementation of this specific concept. It does not have to give successful results - it just has to provide information if it can work or not and why.

Please let me know if you will be able to take on this project. If so, could you please make some assumptions on how complex this task is and how long would it take you to manage it, approximately, and what are your requirements. Also, please let me know if you need some more details.
