I manage a website in daily fantasy sports. It's built in Laravel PHP over MySQL.
There's a couple of areas to the website. One stores DFS tournament data and calculates player rankings based off those results. The other area is basically just content where we post regular articles every day.
I would like to eventually update all of the site as the old DB with tournament data and calculations is poorly designed and terribly inefficient.
However as a first stage, I would just like to look to separate the static content of the site and move it from the current DB and custom back-end across to a more user-friendly and powerful CMS like WordPress (or something that you might suggest).
It would basically involve a simple update/redesign of the home page and content into WordPress, and then import all of the old content (thousands of articles) across into the WordPress database so that they still display ok.
There won't need to be major changes to the current design, but I would like to incorporate some features such as incorporating our multimedia into the layout, and having better management/control over affiliate sites/links/banners.
We would then need to integrate this WP site in with the existing data/results sections of the site so that it's somewhat seamless for users before we look at the second stage which would be tackling the data sections of the site.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in please post your interest and I would be happy to share the URL. Our preference is to work with an individual in Australia, rather than an agency. An understanding of sports, DFS and betting would be advantageous.
Also please take a moment to craft a thoughtful, custom response to this ad to show you've read and understood the requirements. Please include an hourly rate in your response. Canned responses won't get you this gig.
Potentially ongoing work across a number of websites for the right person.
Thanks for your interest.
