SimpleXML script

I need a very simple script that estract data from an xml file with SimpleXML library The xml file has this structure below and I need to have the code, cat, name, desc, price values stored in variables for each product. You will store the attributes in an array with the attribute name as key I will store each product data in a database after extracting so the script should simply iterate each product and create variables with data extracted, I dont need the database script, only the xml data in php variables. <product code="111"> <cat>category</cat> <name>product name</name> <desc>description</desc> <attr><attr name="Color">white</attr><attr nome="Size">S,M,L,XL</attr> <price>123</price> </product> <product code="222"> <cat>category2</cat> <name>product name2</name> <desc>description2</desc> <attr><attr name="Color">black</attr><attr nome="Size">S,M,L,XL</attr> <price>123</price> </product>
