Hello coders a while back I had a coder write me up a sql process that would generate a section in a report that my database would generate on a daily basis. For those familiar with basketball it would take a look at the value in the hc column of the team in the database and then would sum up a number of stats that the team has accumulated in certain scenarios. You can have a look at the sql file to get an idea what the process does as I have included that the report and the aspx file that it interacts with in my web browser. Now everything works great except when there is a coaching change in the middle of the season. Once that happens for some reason it will only populate the first line and then move onto the next section of the report. I cant figure out why and it has to be something really silly that I am missing here.
If you take a look at Chicago Bulls coach history in the report text file you will see what I am talking about. Compare that to say the Denver Nuggets coach history below it and there is a big difference. You see the Bulls fired their coach about 3 weeks ago so the hc column has the new coach in there now but the report still doesnt work. That first line of data is still actually the old coach.
So the project is, you connect to my pc, I walk you through the database and reporting process and you find the bug so that this works correctly. While this is a minor inconvenience to me I am not going to pay a lot of money for this, $50 tops. I have a ton of sql server work to hand out in the next couple months so I am on the lookout for someone that does know sql very well and this could be an audition in some way for more future work. Let me know if you have any questions.
