wiki clone job
Budget $30-250 USD
Job Description:
Looking for someone to install the latest version of MediaWiki on a VPS, Linux server (with CPanels/WHM - WebHost Manager). With the whole English Wikipedia data dumps. You'll make website search engine friendly, disable main pages from editing, set administrative privileges to top administrator and make it flexible to add some modifications such as integrating Adsense, and any JavaScript plugs.
1 - install MediaWiki (using cPanel/PHPMyAdmin) with the current English content of Wikipedia
2 - Create a script that reveals summarized (OpenSearch Description) content to web service requests with link (marked) to the content page, will probably need to reveal Json. (API will be provided), this task may be omitted if the marker can be added to the OpenSearchXML extension itself) by overriding the WikiMedia extension code.
3 - Add web filter that receives the marked request (traffic) sets cookie (if first time visit, and the marker is new), reports the hit (updates the marker's status and relates the cookie key to the marker).
4 - New report in the admin section that reveals the tracking stats, hit counts and enables basic filtering (date, status, IP etc).
5 - The new table should also keep the HTTP header of the request and the IP address of the client, there should be a configuration option that will determine whether to store the header, the ip only, or both.
6 -Install the OpenSearchXML extension with the addition of the marker.
7 - The data should stored on the filesystem and not in MySQL, the traffic data can be stored on a MySQL DB.
8 - A copyright notice should be embedded to all pages directing to the original article at Wikipedia and a reference link to the authors.
9 - The site should fit a Grid Hosting service with 100 GB Disk Space.
