after getting rid of malware on my old website I have fatal errors creating a blank page instead of homepage and 404 errors for all other pages. I am hoping to salvage that content to recycle, so don't want to invest a large amount of time/effort/expense but would like to try to save the old blog/page content.
The specific fatal errors per tech support on my hosting platform are: [21-Mar-2017 22:15:39 America/Chicago] PHP Warning: include(): Failed opening '/home3/cheryl/public_html/[url removed, login to view]' for inclusion (include_path='.:/opt/php54/lib/php') in /home3/cheryl/public_html/[url removed, login to view] on line 33 [21-Mar-2017 22:15:39 America/Chicago] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in /home3/cheryl/public_html/[url removed, login to view] on line 36
Fatal error would suggest generally that either a theme/plugin is not compatible with your version of wordpress, or an upgrade was incomplete. So to correct this would involve replacing core file(s) and can be done by a qualified developer.
