Zendesk customization and workflow management

Looking for help to customize the way we use Zendesk, including triggers and automations, and integrating into a version control tool (Git). Want to be able to filter tickets that require software enhancements of fixes, and group those into a list we can review for biweekly pushes to our codebase for a sAAs application. Currently all zendesk tickets get closed and I don't have a way to manage what needs to get pushed live in next release cycle, and what updates need to be communicated to clients. Some tickets are just customer questions, some are real bugs that got solved, etc... so need a way to manage zendesk and a thrid party software version control application.
