Our nonprofit has recently been awarded 2000 dollars to hire a freelancer to create very particular digital tools. To be selected, we need you to respond with a brief description of how you or your team plan to solve each of our 9 design challenges.
Our goal is simply to be able to compare different freelancer's strategies so that we can make an informed decision.
ONLY FREELANCERS WHO DESCRIBE HOW THEY PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH EACH OF THE 9 DESIGN CHALLENGES OUTLINED IN OUR POST WILL BE CONSIDERED!
We need a wiki, where users can enter in the name of virtually anything, and the wiki shows them a list of all the problems listed in that “area”, with the highest rated displayed at the top of the list.
Once a user clicks on a problem in the list, it shows them the full post, which includes a link to a list of all 'potential solutions' for that problem.
Once they click on the 'solutions' link, the wiki shows them a list of all the potential solutions anyone's thought of, for that problem, with the highest rated displayed at the top. -like Reddit.
Each 'area', will also have a section for 'proposals'. -which are like the 'problems' and 'solutions' sections.
Payment is upon completion so there's no deadline, we know you want to get paid, our main concern is the quality of the product.
The following are our project's 9 design challenges:
1: We want to create entirely new hypertext icons that users can drop into pages where everyone else can see them, that each do different things. For example, as a question, and rate people's answers.
2: We want users to be able to create new layers to posts. This way once a citizen posts about a potential solution for their city, or anything else, scientists and other experts can add a new layer to that post for collaboration with others in their field. The main layer is for laypeople/public discussion, while the expert layers will be for expert level discussion. (*Bonus points if you can help us set up a translator)
3: We want user accounts to include space for users to list all items and services they have, and want. We also want them to be able to search for posts from other people. It's also really important that users have space to say whether they're open to bartering or trading, and if so, for what.
4: We want users to have 'walls', like they do on Facebook, except tags (funny, educational, etc...) they can turn on or off.
5: We also plan to incorporate a 'time bank'. -Which basically means people with time credits can post tasks they'd like done, and when someone does them, they get paid in time credit.
-We also want the time bank to incorporate a blockchain network. -So that every time, time credit is being exchanged between our users, actual tokens on a blockchain network are being exchanged in the background. (using whichever crypto network's cheapest).
6: Everyone's free to view posts without an account, but editing or creating content will require creating one, or signing in with Facebook, ('tier 1 security'/low). -Once people want to do business, trade, or vote, they need tier 2 security.
7: We also need you to organize the code and site permissions so that app builders will be able to interact with our database freely. Our goal is that developers can make apps that our users can choose to activate to change how our site loads, and what features are available. (Everyone would still be voting together, and can still see content from others using different apps, because all the apps are interacting with the same database)
8: We're going to need this to be smart phone friendly, (including the hypertext tokens and the layer system).
9: We need the site to look good, but we also need it to be able to load in HTML for people with slow connections.
If this job sounds good to you, please respond with a little bit about how you can meet our project's (9) needs, and we can take it from there.
