I am a junior surgical trainee with an interest in Hand Surgery. In hand trauma we sometimes use "local flaps" to reconstruct missing soft tissue. This means moving skin sometimes with fat, fascia and muscle with an attached blood supply from one area to another.
This will be a 2 stage project. The first stage is to build a mobile app which will guide the user to appropriate flap options for the type of injury then provide an annotated picture guide of how to perform the operation (In the future we hope to expand this to also include medical diagrams and videos). This could be used as a refresher by surgeons before an operation and to help them explain the procedure to patients before they undergo the procedure.
I have built a clunky version of this in Xcode using swift - However I would like an expert programmer to take this forward into a workable app which could be put on the app store and used to demo to interested parties to obtain further funding. I would like this phase to be delivered by the beginning of December 16 and I am really looking for someone (preferably UK based) to take this forward with me and my team on a medium to long term basis.
