Electronic Medical Records and Medical Assistant System

I need the following software. I am open to suggestions for different technologies or desktop / web application to use, but please specify the technology you will be using while replying.

I need to be able to communicate daily with the developer through skype, to follow-up the development daily. Also I need the developer to give _at least **5 hours**_ of his time daily for this project.

We can work on a per hour basis or on a project basis, whichever suits best. For more details about the project, please add me to skype, but please read the below description fully before doing so (user name nsuccarieh).

The System consists of Medical Data Records for Patients and a process for entering data in a step by step way (Medical Assistant). It consists of the following modules:

1- Definitions, Patients Information, History and Appointments

2- Patients Medical Records

3- Medical Assistant

**Medical Records**

Medical records are straight forward: There are a certain number of items / questions grouped under categories and subcategories. These consist of the various components of a medical record: Body System, Past History, Family History, Drugs, Lab Results, Past Surgery etc.

**Medical Assistant**

The medical Assistant relies on the data entered in the Medical Records, and adds additional Case Specific Categories and items to guide the doctor in the steps to follow for the diagnosis of a particular case.

It consists of a multiple step approach where each step consists of one of the following:

- Fill answers to a series of questions / items under different categories

- Take the results of items filled in the medical record or display them

- Calculate some items and draw some conclusions based on items values

- Direct the doctor to fill some more medical records

## Deliverables

**Medical Records**

Medical records are straight forward: There are a certain number of items / questions grouped under categories and subcategories. These consist of the various components of a medical record: Body System, Past History, Family History, Drugs, Lab Results, Past Surgery etc.

- For each patient, the doctor can fill one or many records for each category

- Each record consists of all the items of that category.

- Each item can take a value depending on what is authorized for that item, like numeric between min and maximum, open answer, date, yes / no, multiple choice (from a table or query): This data is defined from the user interface.

- Depending on some items values, some procedures should be triggered

- Also items can be defined to take value depending on other items

ex.

item 1 = 10

item 2 = 5

item 3 = item 1 + item 2

or

if item 1 > 0 then

item 2 > 2 then

item 3 = item 1 + item 2

else

item 3 = item 1

etc.

The user will write the code in the user interface, and the code needs to be integrated at runtime after reading the code from the table.

**Medical Assistant**
