My small pediatric home health agency needs a specialized home healthcare software for online/electronic charting and patient medical records which will include quality assurance reviews automatically after documents are submitted. For example, a CNA does 3 home healthcare visits per day for patient A. Visit 1 requires the aid to complete tasks 1, 3, 5, 8 10 and 12. I need the ability for the aid to document their tasks on a visit note (all forms will be provided by the agency to the software designer) and then for the software to QA the note for accuracy (ie the aid should have documented tasks 1, 3, 5, 8, 10 and 12 as completed). Each Visit (1, 2, and 3) per day will include different tasks and must be able to be QA'd separately. As stated, all forms will be provided to the designer. I just need someone to create a user-friendly documentation system, as well as the ability to set up logical patient medical records that are secured. This is the most important part of the software program I need created; however, I will also need the software to be able to manage HR files for employees so we can track expiring licenses, certifications, etc as well as being able to schedule employees with certain patients. There will need to be security "tiers" so that employees may only view chart notes for the patients they are scheduled to visit, and user preferences that can be set by the administrator.
The agency will need to be able to create individualized visit care plans (guides for what the cna is being asked to do), cna notes, skilled pediatric nursing notes, occupational therapy notes, speech therapy notes, physical therapy notes, MD orders, Medication Profiles, Patient referrals, Patient profiles, Allergies, CMS 485 Plan of Care, communication notes, and probably other areas that I can't think of right now. Creating a "dashboard", having the ability to scan any paper documents and attach to the patient's chart, HR tracking, scheduling, and QA review features are additionally very important.
I selected "larger project" because I know this will entail a great deal of work that will take some time. I am happy to provide examples of software that are currently available to anyone who wants to research just how big this project may be. There are some great "adult patient" software programs out there that are very cost effective; the problem is there are not any software programs that focus on pediatric patients or disabled pediatric patients and manipulating the adult versions or doing half of our work on paper is self-defeating at this point.
A designer with HIPAA compliance experience and/or experience with CMS regulations would be beneficial but not required because I do have experience with the security required with a program such as this. I would be happy to provide a more comprehensive list of everything I would like in the program for anyone who is seriously interested in the project.
Thank you for looking. I appreciate your interest.
