Greetings, This project is in preparation for our new church website. We would like our church members and guests to be able to access all of our sermons directly from our website. The website will be built in a later phase. For now we want to speed up the tedious process of our media staff having to edit every sermon to include an intro and outro. We'd like them to be able to upload a sermon to s3, and that's it! The sermon intro and outro should be automatically added to the sermon. Additionally the files from our audio recorder are in raw wav format. This will cost extra in s3 and will be slower to download. Please convert these files to mp3 also. So we hope to have a file structure like this: s3bucket |---raw_sermon |---|[login to view URL] |---edited_sermon |---|[login to view URL] Our media staff will simply upload the sermons into the raw_Sermon folder. Then automatically the sermon should have the intro and outro added, it should be converted to mp3, and moved to the edited_sermon folder. Later we'll configure our website to stream all the sermons from the edited_sermon folder. *Please note if you want to use 2 completely separate buckets (one for staff to upload to and another for the edited sermon) that's also fine. We have members who have some familiarity with this technology and they have advised that this would be best done using "aws lambda, python, an ffmpeg layer, and aws s3". Additionally they mentioned that if "IAM permissions need to be created they should only leverage the minimum permissions necessary for reading or writing to the appropriate buckets".

Hi, hope you are doing well I am most interested in helping you with this project for your church. A little while ago, I created a python script that in your case, could be used to help you easily move your files in and out of S3. I will add on to this script and create a Lambda function (with ffmpeg) that can convert each file into mp3, and append an intro and outro to them. Let me know if you are interested, Reilly

I can help you here. I have over 6 years of experience in Python and have created many script to append and combine audio files. I also work with s3 spaces all the time. Let’s discuss further. This can be done with or without two buckets. I would say to keep it local, combine/convert the file and then upload.
