Coding Advise for an Automated Testtool application(Python)

Okay READ the content before bidding!! If I notice you haven't read the content your bid will be ignored. I am looking for ADVISE on what to do and how to handle this assignment.

Short Story:

I am a 4th year software engineer student and I am being hired as a trainee in a software company which has developed their own CMS platform in Python/Django. My job will be to develop an automated code test tool which should test the CMS-system functionalities with a click of a button and report the results.

Important: My school does NOT allow me to write manual unit-tests of the whole system and put it in a small program, it has to be automated and it has to pick up newly added methods automatically for testing.

I need (after winning bid) advise regarding:

1. How doable is this in 17 weeks for someone who yet has just learned Python?

2. How should I approach this, any ideas? (Or more would YOU approach this)

3. I know that the company is using Bitbucket instead of GitHub to pull and push code, could this be somehow implemented in my project to pull the yet to test code from there?

4. Any tips and things I should know or keep in mind?

Expecting bids from people with Python/Automated Testing experience. Cheers.
