Job Description:
We are undertaking a Qlik Sense migration project, aiming to move from our current on-premises Qlik Enterprise Edition to a cloud-based solution. Here is an overview of the project scope:
Migration of Local Apps to the Cloud with Enhancements:
Transfer existing Qlik Sense applications from the local environment to the cloud.
Implement any necessary enhancements or optimizations during the migration process.
Migration of On-Prem ETL to Automation on Cloud:
Migrate our existing on-premises Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to automated workflows on the cloud platform.
Ensure seamless data integration and transformation during the migration.
Set up data sources:
Move data sources from local files to Azure blob storage or Azure SQL databases on the cloud.
Establish robust and efficient data transfer mechanisms between Azure cloud services and the Qlik Cloud environment.
Change AD User Authentication to Azure Single Sign-On (SSO):
Replace the existing Active Directory (AD) user authentication system with Azure's Single Sign-On (SSO) mechanism.
Enable users to access Qlik Sense seamlessly using their Azure credentials.
Complete User Training:
Conduct comprehensive training sessions for users to familiarize them with the new cloud-based Qlik Sense environment.
Cover key features, functionalities, and any changes in workflows or processes resulting from the migration.
As a technical freelance engineer, your role will involve actively participating in the various aspects of this migration project, including application migration, ETL automation, data source setup, authentication system transformation, and user training.
