RSS feed aggregators. They make it possible to import into your blog, the RSS feed posts from another blog, pretty much verbatum. Simple concept.
I am going to be marketing a product to this niche market, and need someone to research blogs out there that utilizing RSS feed aggregators, or duplicating content in general, and get me their email address information either through the internic whois domain name listing information, or via the website itself.
The product is not spam, it is something that is going to help these people grow their google rankings.
I just dont have the time to compile the list of emails.
You'd need to understand how many RSS feed aggregators there are out there (like feedgator for joomla [url removed, login to view]) and be able to find websites utilizing that functionality
I dont just want an email list of everyone on earth that has a blog. That's not my customer target. My target is only blogs that utilize feed aggregators.
A bidder brought up a point of confusion in my first post. Let me see if i can explain in detail what i'm look for a bit better..
I'm looking for blogs that are importing FROM other rss feeds and reprinting the content as their own. i.e. blogs that are using RSS feed aggregators.
RSS feed aggregators are different than RSS feed generators. Any blog can populate their content with new articles they write and then generate an RSS feed out of it, and lots of them post it to google's feedburner. But it's the blogs that are importing their content via aggregators that i'm interested in.
One way to track these down would be to do a search on any blog that has a post that has a "trackback link" or a "track back link" in it. This would mean they got the source from somewhere else and posted it and are providing the link back to the original source of the material.
Also... I dont want a list of websites that are using RSS feed aggregators... i want a list of contact email addresses of websites that are using RSS feed aggregators.
Even further explanation of what I need... and some steps to trying to find the information
I ran a quick google search
"index of" feedgator
and this will give you all indexed sites that are using feedgator to generate their blogs. There's a ton of sites in the listings... each of which is using feedgator to some degree.
Now here's the thing. There are a variety of RSS feed aggregators, not only feedgator. See below for more of a listing and a link to joomla's plugins for this.
Step 1. identify the different types of aggregators there are
Step 2. identify the sites that are using those aggregators using google searches like the one i used above
Step 3. go to those sites and find contact information. If they list none, do an internic whois lookup on the domain name and see if an email registrant is listed.
To get an idea of what kinds of aggregators are out there, you could just search for "RSS feed aggregator" in google and i'm sure there will be plenty of wordpress/joomla and drupal plugins out there.
for instance, the following is the extension directory that feedgator falls into on the joomla side of the world.
these are all legitimate article generators where you point the component at someone else's blog, and it will import into yours.
I need contacts for these blogs
