I need a small program written with 2 functions.
1) It has to open a browser go to a URL, enter login/password, click a menu-item (ie. go to another page), and change account password (ie. enter a text in a form-field and send the form). There should be a small check to see if the change was successful or not (ie. parse the returned string or similar)
As I will need to do exact same operation for several accounts (same site), all variables for this (URL, login, password, new account-password) should be stored in an external file. I would also like to have some sort of selection beginning the script as to what account I would like to update + what new password.
2) Following step 1, the same script should it should open a txt-file via FTP (again from 5 same websites - but of course a different host/login/password as this is FTP), and edit the text-file (replace the password from above in that textfile). Previous text-file should be stored as backup here on my local machine with the date-time inserted into the filename.
I expect an experienced applescript-developer should be able to do this in a couple of hours.
I have several other Apple-script projects following the successful completion of this.
*** NOTE: As asked by some of the bidders, you are welcome to use AppScript (ie. Ruby, Python or ObjC) or Perl if it is easier for you. Ie: http://appscript.sourceforge.net/
Basically I just need to be able to have the source here to tweak it a little if/when the sites change structure, etc.
I would also very much like a solution where we can use the same technology for you to make other small automation applications on my mac, as I have several I'd like to se done. For this reason it would be 'preferred' if you can access the standard interfaces of the different programs installed - Ie. tell menus of the programs, select sections of text, print, etc.
