Resize animated Gifs.
User chooses a gif to upload using rails file_column, and several different sizes are created/stored. Note - its a bit challenging as each frame of the animated gif needs to be flattened due to issues with transparency etc - there are good articles on the web about what to do/what the issues are. Ideally need someone familiar with Image-magic etc.
You will need to be confident with file_column to take apart an animated gif and resize each frame/optimize and stitch back together (very important to optimize as the resize GIF must be smaller in KB than the original).
We currently have some code that uses 'imglist' to create resized versions, and works OK as long an the animated gif does not have transparency (which most of ours do). It destroys the gif if there is transparency.
All we need is the actual code the that does the nice resizing (dont need any uploading stuff etc)... (maybe just an updated magick_file_column.rb?).
