Hire a Salesman


I’m the author of an upcoming book due for release at the end of this year. I need a public relations and/or sales professional who can call the marketing and community relations departments of nonprofits and various companies to introduce my book project and talk to them about sponsoring my book launch.

There’s a total of 25 organizations on my list and I’m requesting a minimum of two call attempts for each one. I will give you more information about me, my book, sponsorship packages, and launch plans so you know exactly who and what you’re representing and the end goal that I’m after.

Launching the book is only the first activity in my promotional plans so I am excited about finding a go to freelance PR Pro who I can continue to use going forward!

Requested Qualifications:

The book is about teen development so you should have a heart for this demographic and an upbeat, optimistic personality to match the spirit of youth-serving organizations.

I’m also looking for someone who is a confident speaker, persuasive without being pushy, sales-savvy in the sense that you know how to build rapport, turn objections and uncertainty around, and close sales, and someone who has experience building sponsorships for launches. Any book marketing experience is a plus.

I will provide you with the contact info for the 25 organizations, an email account to send correspondences should they request it, and a copy of all the documents related to this project so you never have to guess to answer questions. You need a phone and computer to use my Excel document and to send emails (if needed).

Lastly, I’m not a micromanager. You may work however you like to get the job done. However, I do need you to be a self-starter, independent, and have the desire to produce good work even when no one is standing over your shoulders. I also need someone who has a high level of integrity because I need to trust you.

$12/company called (initial call and follow up) plus $100 bonus for each one that becomes a sponsor (will be verified before payment). In short, depending on your performance total compensation for this project could be $300 base pay + up to $2,500 bonus for closed sponsorships.

*All prospective partners are in the United States so I prefer someone from the United States for this project.
