Drupal Customization with Apache Solr

We had a catastrophic failure of our application server which serves about 40gb of pdf content (some searchable some not) to about 1000 users. The user data is in folders and contains searchabe pdf’s. At this point I want to be able to setup a user in drupal (we have created a content type of that user, so users can only view their own data), upload a set of files to the directory associated with that user, and have apache solr automatically index the documents. When that specific user logs in they can only view pdf’s that are in their own directory that have been indexed. Also I want to clean up Drupal so all a user can do is search for content. I need to get this done ASAP.

1) Users can only search their own content

2) Admin can provision content for a user by ftping into the system and copying pdf’s into a directory associated with that user

3) Solr will index content (already working)

4) Drupal home pages need to minimal contnent

I have a drupal site set up at [url removed, login to view]

I can provide all login information as needed

You can test existing functionality at [url removed, login to view]
