For over a decade, I've been the sole recorder, editor, uploader, promoter, moderator, web developer, and all other -ers for my gender-equality (and other progressive issues) video and interview series Topless Topics, and it's gotten to the point where I'd really like to be able to hire someone with experience to handle the social media and promotional aspects of creating content, so I can focus on producing the videos themselves.
My ideal workflow would be:
-i get the idea, script, record, edit etc then upload the new video
-I then provide the video url to the SM manager, who then:
--makes a page on the [login to view URL] website that embeds the video and includes relevant info/links
--creates and schedules social media posts to all the main and alt platforms alerting followers to the new content (with best practices for SEO etc to maximize how many people see the posts)
--includes the video link and other info on the monthly email newsletter
As mentioned, I've been doing it all myself for years now, and it's just taking so much time and energy that could be better spent just making new videos. I've never hired outside help before, and I'm leery about trusting a total stranger with my login info, so ample references would be required. Budget is negotiable--the "brand-unfriendly" nature of my activism content prevents me from being able to monetize or do brand deals, but I also do unrelated side work as a graphic designer and illustrator. Mainly I want to see what the possibilities are for hiring some outside help! Experienced social media managers only please.
