Very Briefly is a New York-based firm which aims to notify marketers globally of the latest marketing news, trends, and tools in a compact and insightful fashion. Having recently launched our platform we are looking to expand our team in order to be able to take Very Briefly to new heights!
The Role:
As a Social Media Manager at Very Briefly, your primary responsibility will be creating and managing content strategies across all our platforms including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. You will also be responsible for overseeing part of the marketing department, ensuring the development plans are in place, performance management is consistent, and individuals are enabled to reach their potential.
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will manage and deliver effective content strategies. Additionally, you will be having WBR (Weekly Business Review) meetings with the founders to review each week’s progress and plan for the coming week. This role will give you flexibility in your work while still ensuring guidance from the founders.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute effective marketing strategies with aims to growing subscriber base
- Establish effective media relationships on a national and international level to secure
coverage from a wide range of mediums
- Identify and implement effective email marketing campaigns
- Consistently develop a deeper understanding of how social platforms and behaviours impact
wider marketing and communications efforts as well as the business at large.
About you:
- BSc and/or MSc in areas such as Marketing, Communication, Business Administration
- Prior industry experience preferred but not required
- A passion for furthering your career in social media
- Creativity and willingness to learn and adapt
- Friendly and personable character
- Familiar with SEO and how it impacts the world of digital publishing
