I'm hoping someone can do this quickly. My office has just switched over to Mac. I have been a Mac user for many years, but the office staff is full of Windows users. This is the first part of a larger project I would like to get started, but I really need this utility first, and a trial run for someone to help with more projects over time.
I would like get a utility built that to display the contents of a directory on a network drive. The network drive contains folders that each correspond to a customer's order.
Ideally it would have the following:
A spot toward the top for a logo
Total count of subfolders in main folder
Below that a list of each subfolder's name in the folder and a time stamp from created or modified date
Last refreshed date/time
Button to manually refresh
Display contents of a "notes" file. Notes file would just be a plain txt file.
Config tab or button:
Main directory location text box
Note file location text box
Refresh every 5 minutes
Ordinarily I would just use a shell script, but I want something a little more user friendly for the non-technical staff.
What I would like to see during the interview is screenshots or some kind of references for similar work you have done. If the fixed price does not work, I would also like to get the estimate of the cost and time to complete. Delivery will include both the compiled application as well as the source code and instructions to compile.
Again I am looking to make this part of a larger project later on based on what I see from the candidate selected.
