I need a simple screengrab and image editing tool that let's me streamline making product image collages. I need the following functionality:
(1) Have the ability to create a stage/canvas/workspace where I can lay down different screengrabs as I go. For example, say I want to create a composite image that is 500px by 500px. I start with a blank stage that is 500x500px, and then I start doing screengrabs of different products from websites. Each screengrab gets placed on the stage as a separate layer. Bigger screengrabs will automatically resize to the stage size to fit, and I can move them and resize them as needed, including being able to do some simple image editing functions similar to other screengrab tools.
(2) When taking a screengrab, overlay a pixel "crosshair" cursor on screen that extends to the edges of the screen in all directions so I can use it to accurately grab only what I want (see example here: [url removed, login to view])
(3) Have the ability to save directly to Amazon S3 image server, where the name suggested is the title of the web browser window I am grabbing from, and after save the URL of the image is automatically copied to clipboard. I should also have the option to save the image locally.
(4) Bonus function, trim screengrabs to edge of product. For example if a screengrab is of a product with a solid color background, the background would be removed as much as possible without deleting relevant pixels, so that only the product is included.
TechSmith Snagit seems to have a lot of these options, but for my specific use case I need to be able to optimize the whole process. If you already know of an existing tool optimized for this functionality I can pay you a finders fee, otherwise I need to create this tool from scratch. You can also start with a base open-source tool (such as [url removed, login to view] which provides source code) and customize it to my needs. Please add the phrase "ASAP" to confirm that you read this project and can start working on it ASAP.
