I please need the following hardware/software analysis device/application developed, named a “Golf Grip Hand Structure Efficient Device” as follows: As envisioned at this time, there will be two small wireless sensors, perhaps 9DOF absolute orientation sensors, one attached to the back side of each hand of a golfer, essentially opposite of yet equivalent to the palms of the hands. The two sensors and accompanying software would track the orientations of the hands, completely independently of each other, and also comparing their orientations relative to each other over the course of a golf swing. This is the base/core function of the device. A simplest user interface would only need to be a visual representation of a pair of hands basically centered on a screen, where the orientations of the hands are visually represented over the course of a golf swing. Mathematical information will be provided as to the 3D orientations of the hands, both independently and relative to each other, with respect to time or other frame of reference. An important optional feature of the application would be to create a tare or similar function that aligns the sensors in the same direction and essentially through the center point of the hands at the start of a golf swing (equivalent to the position and direction an actual golf club would be at if in hand), which could make certain analyses more convenient and easier to comprehend. Such a simple user interface would suffice at the very start and would sometimes be used just as is. But important yet still basic features would need to be added. One might be a split screen and side-by-side display where two such pairs of hands would be visualized. One pair would be that of baseline or reference swing information of a golfer when there is the equivalent of a golf club/grip in hand, which provides a rigid, common frame of reference running through both hands. The other pair would be that of only the limbs of the hands being used when swinging and where the hands are formed into a gripping structure without any common reference to aid the golfer. The two swing specimens can be synced, rotated in 3D as per the capabilities of the sensors and/or software, and comparative information between the two swing specimens can be calculated and displayed. Many other relevant possibilities exist. One would be for an actual video of a golfer to be taken while swinging under one the conditions described above and while sensor data is also simultaneously accumulated. The two can then be synced up with each other, again probably in a split-screen display. So instead of having just a pair of hands basically centered on a display to reference, a user can actually see exactly where during the swing the hand orientations are what they are for the golfer (by referencing the other side of the split screen). Even with only a 2D phone camera video to work with for instance, extremely useful information can still be gathered. If the hardware and/or software are capable enough, acquired data might be used to not just show and analyze the orientations of the hands as a general whole basically centered on a display, but to also track and display the hands as a general unit from any given perspective(s) as they actually move around over the course of a golf swing. The use of off-the-shelf hardware development sensors is expected to be used first to get an initial prototype in hand less expensively and more quickly. But even here, such sensors can have varying specifications, so appropriate hardware knowledge to help choose the best sensors (based on the above description of operation) would seemingly be needed in order to best proceed. Certain decisions have not been conclusively decided yet, like whether the application will be a desktop or phone application (or potentially both). Some crude images can be shared with any interested and qualified parties. Hourly or project estimates can be considered. Thanks.
