Outcome: A webpage which will allow the users to upload a 3D file format, input an email address and a description and send it. The receiver will be able to view the file with an online viewer (which includes zoom in/out and orbit) for 5 days and download it.
Project already has a conceptual graphic design.
Requirements:
Upload page
An upload module
Form with sender name, sender address, receiver address, description
Supported file types: 1st phase – IFC
2nd phase – STL, OBJ
3rd phase – FBX
4th phase – other formats
While uploading there should be an animation – will be provided by the designer.
The format of the email users will receive should be discussed.
After upload
Page should include a view/download link. Both sender and receiver should receive a confirmation email.
Additions:
Site should be secure. Hosting server to be discussed.
There should be a separate management module to allow the admins to manage the uploaded files and analyze traffic, types and errors.
Upload should be fast, rendering should be fast- maximum 10-15 seconds for rendering (for normal file sizes – IFC 20 mb, STL 1 mb).
