People Counter with Raspberry Pi 3 (IP camera, USB camera)
The software consists of two parts:
The first part is installed on the Raspberry Pi 3 with GPS module, 3G/4G USB modem and IP/USB camera, counts incoming and out coming people under the camera, the counter have to determine people who go close to each other (without distance). It is going to work like a head counter. The system must save the incomes and outcomes registers into database (MySQL) in the same raspberry with time and GPS marks. The system has to send data to the server.
The system should operate in offline mode in case of internet connect failed, archiving data, when the connection is resumed, it is necessary to transfer data to the server for the period of connection failure.
In case video loss, loss of video picture in time of GPS data changing, power failure and switching to backup power, the system should send the signal to the server or send sms or the message to the e-mail.
The second part of the software installed to the server. Several devices (Raspberry Pi with camera counter) will operate in system. Administrator and users with limited rights should operate the system. The user should be able to access the system on the server, see on-line mode the counting of people for selected devices, selected routes, statistics for selected data and time intervals, for GPS marks and selected devices. The system should record the video with time and GPS marks.
The accuracy of people counting should be 95-98%.
The software based on OpenCV and Python.
It will needed to fit the software for specific hardware.
