We need a media player of sorts written in python for the RPI 3. The PI will serve as the media player hardware connecting to a display(TV) via the HDMI Out on the device. RPI can be replaced for a mini PC running linux.
The platfrom needs to do the following things:
- Multi-zone display (Zone 1 and Zone2 using half of the screen displaying a rotation of pictures/videos and/or displaying a stream from an IP Camera, Zones 3-4(perhaps5) displaying a marquee feed showing weather etc..(rss feed)
and the time/date in the final zone.)
- Zones need to be configurable for: pictures, videos, html pages, rss feeds. Each needs to have a duration that can be set, videos need to play for the duration of the clip. Content will also need to be displayed in a defined order.
- The content needs to be managed via a web interface. EG Customer that runs one can use a portal to interact with templates etc.. and it will be updated on the player. (We will be creating the portal, no need for this to be
part of this listing) The current platform we use does not allow this, the projects that are to be displayed are created through a desktop app and either send to the device's storage card or to an ftp site and it updates from there.
- App will need to retrieve presentation content via web api by calling a url with unique API ID, URL structure or formatted response can be discussed based on developers needs.
