We are conducting a Project regarding process optimisation for an On-Demand printery.
Therefore, we need a simulation, showing the efficiency of workers who pick book covers from a shelf and sort them to the matching book content.
It is necassary to create the simulation with AnyLogic 8.2.
The process needs to be simulated contains two phases:
In the first phase workers sorting the printed covers into a few shelves. The important variables for this step are time for walkways, sorting old covers into right order and looking for the right shelf.
The second phase is the process step where the book covers are matched with printed book content. The workers receive a new batch with printed book contents. With the batch number they look for the right covers which belong to the batch. The important variables in this step are time for walkways, time for searching covers and amount of covers which are not found. After that the books are put on a roll container for the next production step.
A 3D model is not necassary. But we need a 2D model of this process step. We have data to nearly every process transistion. If any data is missing you can work with assumptions when you give us a overview of all your assumptions.
