I have an old software that works in DOS and is used to control a VRT system (vehicle road worthy test) This software has a software protection that works with in conjunction with the bios date. Basically when the software loads it verifies that the date embedded in a file corresponds to the bios date of the workstation, if it doesn’t the software will not load.
I have a tool called [url removed, login to view] and instructions how to update the date in the embedded file but for some reason I cannot manage to get the software running. I have attached the software, the [url removed, login to view] tool and the instructions to reset the date.
I require someone to provide me a step by step guide to use the upgrade tool and make the software work.
Note : Since the software is about 14 years old it might not work on new VGA cards. I found that it works fine with PCI/AGP vga cards
