The main goal of this RFP is to design specific software based on Ubuntu 16.04, for handling the traffic of at least 8 Gbe ports which buildup 4 links (each link uses two ports). The traffic from each LAN port should be first analyzed using some filtering rules (upon traffic type, MAC source/destination addresses and IP source destination addresses and some protocols like TCP/UDP/HTTP/RTP). This analysis decides
which portion of the incoming traffic is relayed directly to the corresponding physical WAN port without any change while the rest of the traffic should be redirected to the hardware co-processor for making some changes and then passed to the corresponding physical WAN port.
As the link works in full duplex mode, the above process should also be performed for the incoming traffic of the WAN port to the corresponding LAN port. Please refer to the attached document for the details of this system.
