ADXBA are digital communication specialists, with our primary focus being on digital signage.
The last 18 months has seen a number of large format screen and video wall installations across major Airports in the UK, and we are further developing our in-house management applications.
We are looking for a Software Developer with a high level of .Net, PHP, Java knowledge to join the team at our Manchester (Failsworth) office. Don’t worry if you don’t have years of commercial experience - we are looking for someone with passion and determination, and who ultimately ‘makes it happen’. We are open to full time, part time, contract or freelance position for this role - whatever suits both us and you!
This is a varied role, but will initially involve progressing our in-house applications to control digital screens. This software consists of 3 components, mobile app, web based database and windows based application. The successful candidate should enjoy working both in a team and individually, within our friendly and flexible work environment. They should be good at working towards deadlines and have the ability to follow specific guidelines.
Duties / Responsibilities
Build and maintain core .NET/PHP/Java based applications.
Work with other team members on the development of applications.
To assist in the specification and planning of projects and overall web/mobile development strategy.
Bug testing existing and newly developed applications.
To assist in the authoring of application manuals for end users.
To Monitor web server and site technical performance.
At least one of the following programming skills:
.NET (pref c#), PHP, Java for mobile devices.
Strong database knowledge, specifically MySQL.
Ability to integrate MySQL database with PHP/.NET applications.
Previous Android / iOS programming experience would be an advantage.
Ability to work with HTML / CSS.
A flexible attitude to work and projects.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
The ability to prioritise and manage own tasks / workflow [Multitasking desirable].
