While we are browsing websites we need a Firefox extension that allows us add the URL of the site we are browsing to a database only if that URL is not already present in the database.
The extension will have to read the URL and check it against a database that you will set up for us on a Linux distro on slicehost.com. Only if the URL is not in the database already the extension will have to show two clickable buttons (i.e. “white” or “black”). When one of the buttons is clicked the URL is added to the database with the associated button Tag (“white” or “black”). Once clicked the two buttons shall become non clickable. An third button “Undo” shall become clickable only if one of the two main button have been clicked.
Install a database to store both URLs and a Tag (i.e. [url removed, login to view], white) on our cloud servers
Deliver a Firefox extension that reads the URL our worker is visiting and checks it against the URL already in the database.
The Firefox extension must present three buttons. The two main ones (i.e. “white” or “black” shall be clickable only if the URL was not recorded already. Should one of them be clicked the URL must be recorded together with the tag in the database. Only in this case the button “Undo” shall become clickable.
You need to help us download the data from the database to a CSV file
Worker: On pay-for-deliverable projects, all deliverables must be uploaded to [url removed, login to view] before the deadline(s)…with no exceptions. If this contract makes it impossible to do this (for example if it is for a service that cannot be uploaded), then do not start this project. Otherwise, you may find yourself unprotected by the payment guarantee. Instead, ask the employer to switch this project to pay-for-time, so you are guaranteed payment. If the employer will not switch this, then please alert us. (Click here for more details...)
The database must standard SQL. We need to assign a project ID to the database.
In your message talk only about your experience in building browser extensions.
You should be available for maintenance and modification, which we will pay you for.
We would like a quote for a Chrom and IE extention as well.
We have more projects like this in the near future. A well done job will most likely result in additional projects.
We look forward to working with you.
1) I require complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done (so that I may modify it in the future).
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
2b) Any website server-side deliverables must be installed by the worker in ready-to-run condition in the employer's environment.
2c) Any website server-side deliverables must be provided with complete instructions and assistance so that the employer may install them in ready-to-run condition in the employer's environment.
2d) Any website server-side deliverables must be installed as described elsewhere by the employer.
3) All deliverables will be considered 'work made for hire' under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
3b) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's 'Worker Legal Agreement'.
