here are a total of n = 240 observations from 3 different groups (Red, Green, and Blue) in the CSV file. The dependent variable is y and is a supervisor rating of employee performance. A covariate, employee conscientiousness (CO), was assessed at hiring. Employees were randomly assigned to one of 3 teams which are denoted by colour. Each of the teams used a different motivational approach to improve employee morale and, hopefully, performance. The red team used negative reinforcement, the green team positive reinforcement, and the blue team used motivational speeches by the managers. Note that you will need to reorganize the dataset to make it tidy and in a format that allows you to analyze it more readily.
1- Write a paragraph in APA format/style that discusses the impact of the three different groups on performance, adjusting for conscientiousness. Report the differences between group means and provide d as well as the 95% CI for d. As well, report the β for conscientiousness (and its 95% CI) and the model R2. Make sure to include gender and age as additional covariates in your analyses as well. These latter two variables are not of substantive import but need to be controlled for in the analyses (and this needs to be acknowledged).
2- Create a pdf of a nice figure that graphs the relationship between the covariate and the DV for each of the 3 groups. Label the groups appropriately, use different symbols for each group, and include a legend. Make sure to graph the linear relationship only within the range of the observed data for each group. Save this figure as a pdf that looks nice enough to publish.
