Hi There, Can't believe I am stuck on this. Bellow the details about the issue -
Network Scenario - Win 2003 SBS Running as mail, controller, file share server, windows xp as workstation.I have configured SBS as dns server and dhcl server as well.
Hints of last changes made -
Last night after done some simple changes as move network share folders locations, try to keep the same share name but under different server directory, add another group policy( but I deleted this one ), move dc to different active directory container.
Problem details -
Now from client pcs I can't access server shares through \\servername\ but if change it to \\server's ip address\ or fqdn e.g. \\[url removed, login to view]\ I can see the shared files and folders.
What I have tried -
Restart DNS service, cleared dns cache, tried to make changes on lmhost file on xp client machine, take the xp client off from the domain and put it back again, delete any group policy I have made, check users share permission
Now I am kind of out of options, it's may be quick fix for someone who already had this kind of issue before or understand this problem and can fix it.
Please advice your suggestions or I can organise remote access. It's a quick job so my budget is less as $30 NZD but it's can nice start for someone who wants to start a new relationship as we don't be windows support freelancer before.
Please let me asap.
