I have a Linux system that needs configuring. I am not aware of any special difficulties or risks in this project.
The hardware is:
A Gigabyte GA-M52L-S3P motherboard with multiple plug-in network cards and a 30GB SSD. The motherboard network card is already connected to the internet, the other network cards are for use within the office network.
A router called WGR614v9 (00:24:b2:25:ca:b9) which I want to be 192.168.0.2;
A router called FREE (00:1f:1f:32:a1:3d) which I want to be 192.168.0.3;
An FTP server called backuntu (20:cf:30:6f:eb:13) which I want to be 192.168.0.4;
The installed software is:
A plain installation of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server, with the minimum changes needed to make it connect to the internet with PPPoE.
I want the system set up with:
a. A hostname of PlusNet;
b. A Lan IP address of 192.168.0.1;
c. A DHCP server ([url removed, login to view]);
d. Some IP addresses allocated by the MAC address of the client PC's (as above, for 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.4);
e. A secure IPTables firewall;
f. Forwarding of these UDP ports: SIP 5060; IAX2 4569; RTP 10000-11000; MGCP 2727 to 192.168.0.2;
g. Forwarding of these TCP ports: 6881-6890 to 192.168.0.2; (192.168.0.3 has no port forwards);
h. Forwarding of these TCP ports: 56809-56810 to 192.168.0.4;
i. Squid caching Proxy with a 10GB cache;
j. Automatic security updates;
k. Postfix installed and working;
l. Install Webmin;
m. From [url removed, login to view], everything except 1. UFW; (SSH to use port 9978);
n. Disable SSL versions 1 & 2 so the user must use SSL 3 or TLS;
o. Install ClamAV;
p. Install SquidGuard;
If you modify a configuration file (eg/etc/fstab) then I want you to:
Make a copy of the original unchanged file with a suffix ".original" (eg /etc/[url removed, login to view]);
Document the changes: If comments are permitted then in the file, otherwise in a text file with a suffix of ".[url removed, login to view]" (eg /etc/[url removed, login to view])
Notify me of the list of every file you edited;
I will of course give you:
a. The IP address of the server,
b. An admin Userid & Password,
c. SSH access.
This project will start as soon as I've installed Linux on the server (still bare metal!) and had a reasonable bid. I am looking for rapid completion, especially of the port forwarding. I am reasonably technically aware, but don't know quite enough about IPTables and the use of multiple network cards to tackle this with confidence.
You must have a good reputation and a good completion rate to be considered.
