One of our clients has a Windows 2008 Enterprise 64 Bit server with 10 Terminal Server licenses on it. We wish to move the installation of this server to a virtualization platform running on KVM (on Proxmox) and wish to do this migration without having any re-installation of software, etc. However in reviewing the machine, we noticed that it gave an error on attempting to start the Windows Firewall, and on researching this it appears that the machine may have a root kit virus on it.
I need a Win2008 Server expert who can clean this machine up, and assist with policy settings on it for the users so that they are unable to let something like this happen again. Additionally I would like advice on the best AV scanners to install, etc. to ensure that this machine is not disrupted from its production usage.
If you are a MCSE or similar qualified, and have multiple years of sys admin experience, particularly with AV and security work on Windows Servers, please bid on this project. Preference will be given to US based freelancers, however its open to bidding from anyone.
