VMWare server network config trouble shooting

I run a test bed VMServer on an XP Pro PC which will typically only run 1 or 2 VMs at a time. There is a problem with the network configuration of VM Server in so far as although the VM network is set to Bridged and the VM IP set to static or DHCP, the VM cannot see the rest of the network or the internet nor can machines on the physical network PING or see the VM.

I'm sure it is a quick and easy task to fix for someone with good VMWare credentials.

Access to the server will be by TeamView during UK GMT business hours.

There are 3 VM images, evidence all three can see the physical network will be required for the project to be signed off.
