I'm the author of a WordPress plugin, WP Static HTML Output. As the plugin gains popularity, support requests grow. Many of these can be solved by a more intuitive UI and better documentation.
I would like to hire someone who enjoys writing and knows how to take screenshots and put these together to make useful user documentation.
Working in Google Docs is preferred, so we can collaborate. I'll be editing your work where I feel the need.
This documentation will be published to a few places:
- official WordPress plugin site's documentation for the plugin, including the readme, installation notes and FAQ
- in the GitHub project repository readme
- on a standalone website for the project (TBC)
You'll be writing for users who are not necessarily tech-savvy (though we have very tech-savvy users, they will be less in need of the documentation). They have a website running WordPress and are concerned about security or performance of their website and so are looking to install, configure and use the plugin to export their site as static HTML.
There is a lot more I'd like to do regarding documentation, screencasts/video tutorials, etc for this plugin, but let's get started with some helpful documentation and move on from there.
Happy to take on newbies to freelancing websites and can help advise you on building up a living from freelancing (I used to do it successfully for several years).
