Writing Trivia Questions about Current TV Shows

Please write 150 multiple-choice trivia questions written about NEW TV shows that began airing in the United States in 2011 or 2012 and have not been discontinued. For example: The X Factor, The Voice, Ben & Kate, The Mindy Project, Go On, Nashville, Last Resort, or any program whose first series run started in 2011 or 2012. At least 50 of the questions must cover shows that began airing in 2012. All questions must cover shows that are either currently airing new episodes or have been given a future extension.

Questions need to be written in Microsoft Excel in this format:

Column A: question - maximum of 100 characters, including spaces. The Excel formula "LEN" can help you with this.

Column B: correct answer

Column C: incorrect answer

Column D: incorrect answer

Column E: incorrect answer

Accuracy is extremely important, including the spelling of TV shows, character names, and actor/actress names; as well as the accuracy of the questions/answers. The questions must be written so that they will still be factually correct 100 years from now. For example: “What is the highest rated show of the current TV season” is a terrible question because it will become outdated next year. However, this type of question is acceptable: “What actor plays ____ on the TV show ____.”

Questions should be diverse. 100 or even 50 questions asking for actors names (like the example above) is not acceptable.

Please also do not include any questions about Emmy Awards or any TV awards show/ceremony.

The questions and answers must be delivered by Sunday September 30th at 9am U.S. Eastern Time.

A writer will be selected before the end of the day on Wednesday September 26th.
