I'm looking for someone to do some minor changes to a rigged hand model in Blender.
The hand model can be found at www.libhand.org. What I need you to do is to make minor modifications to it so that:
- when generating hand poses, they will look more natural. This should be done by modifying some rotations of the bones and fingers. The bones of the fingers should be oriented so that one doesn't need the "twist" of the fingers to make good looking poses, only the bend and side-to-side movement.
- the joints and bones are not well placed in the center of the finger. Now, if I apply a scaling factor to the bones (which makes all points on the mesh that correspond to that bone go closer or further from the bones), it looks unnatural because of this [url removed, login to view] should re-align the bones of the hand in to proper positions.
After the modifications, the model you came up with should be delivered in blender format AND ogre format (.mesh and skeleton). There is a ogre plugin for blender.
