This project is for the translation of seven religious pamphlets from English to French.
Each pamphlet has five columns and one title page and is on average 1,571 words.
The source documents are in Microsoft Publisher 2013 format. It is expected that the original documents be translated and kept in Microsoft Publisher format once translated. The updated translated documents must mainly maintain the original layout and format. Text can be slightly reduced in font size if it is not possible to maintain the same character length.
It is important that the documents be modified using Microsoft Publisher and not a third-party application which may damage or corrupt the documents.
The work must be carried out by a human translator (NOT a machine translation). Any attempt to use machine translation as delivered work will result in non-payment. I am only interested in the most professional translation work. The translator must be completely fluent and experienced in the translation of religious material.
The pamphlets deal with mostly unheard of biblical doctrines. It is extremely important the translator understands the message in order to effectively deliver the message in French. The translator MUST work with the author (for clarification) on anything which is not understood.
Although the original English documents have been heavily revised and corrected over the years, there may still be the odd spelling or grammar mistake. It is expected the translator will make note of any errors found as part of their work.
Recent past references and examples of recently completed biblical work is mandatory to be considered for this project.
Attached is an example in PDF format of one of the seven pamphlets which require translating.
There maybe but very unlikely the odd "minor revision" of a paragraph (or two) to re-translate as the project gets underway. This is considered part of the process and not chargeable extra work.
The final delivery of the project must produce seven professionally translated pamphlets in French of equal superior quality to their English counterparts.
Bids on the project are considered final. Do not bid low and attempt to justify price increases after being awarded the project.
If your registered interest in this project does not imply you have read this outline, you will not be considered.
The top 3-4 bidders will be asked to provide a translation sample of 1 or 2 columns. The best translation will be awarded the project.
