I am typically a Php and .Net developer. On Thursday just gone I decided to try out Flask and MongoDB for the first time to ascertain their appropriateness for an internal project. I have completed two research days of 8 hours (16 hours spent in total) and so far and while I am happy with the technologies and their appropriateness I am now out of time. Ideally I am looking for someone that I can invite to the private repo on gitlab and just work through wiring up the bits I have left to do. I have some notes for bits left to be done on a [login to view URL] file in the repo. Mostly it is just finishing off forms, wiring up some routes with basic CRUD operations and adding in some validation. Also it needs finishing off with one of the typeahead plugins I have started using. Essentially I started off using Jquery Typeahead but after doing a demo with [login to view URL] think it will be the better option going forward. I have made a DB Reset script that populates realistic data and for the most part have laid out forms and tables for a lot of the collections. It is really a case of just filling in the blanks. Design look and feel is of the least importance as if I can get a finished POC that is all wired up by early next week I will be looking to employ a UI designer. Hard to gauge how much time will be needed as I have done quite a bit in 16 hours and never touched the language before Thursday. I am sure however I have probably not covered all the Flask best practices while rapidly constructing the protoype. I am happy to receive bids for half day (4 hr) blocks and see where we go from there.
