We are looking for a specifically experienced Senior Backend Engineer to spearhead the backend netowrk upgrade from Unity UNET for our Transmedia MMO.
We are looking for a multiplayer game developer who has;
Worked on server-authoritative multiplayer games
Can improve and optimize the legacy server code and upgrade existing Unet code to MLAPI.
Can execute tasks dealing with metagame code, written in .NET using Microsoft Orleans that doesn't deal with Unity.
Can work with Game and MGS server to move from AWS to AZure.
Can work with Playfab and integrating SDK's
Wil upgrade to Unity's new supported solution MLAPI.
The codebase is production-quality code that needs upgrades and improvements due to Unity deprecating Unet. Previous Senior Backend Developer available.
An tech interveiw and chat with current Lead Backend programer and Overall Lead programmer which will include questions and paid coding test.
Able to quickly ascertain and write highly scalable distributed logic which runs on multiple machines.
Can technically execute the architecture, optimation, upgrade of legacy/custom server code.
Experience on an actual game engine on the server
Unity and uNet it is preferred
Experience on Unity new MLAPI preferred.
PlayFab and PlayFab Cloud Script, Xbox live, Monetization networking, Social plugins, guilds, store, etc.
experience with server-side programming: matchmaking, load balancing, anti-cheat, leaderboards
Amazon cloud, Azure Cloud
Iphone, Ipad for testing

About the position:
This position is a long-term collaboration. As we have implemented our initial multiplayer network, we will rely on your expertise to continue the project's existing networking implementation strategy. We move from a vertical slice system complete to Beta Test and Launch and upgrades and follow on launches in this Transmedia Game/Book series.
In this role, we expect you to become an indispensable member of the dev team, working closely with game designers and developers to add game features and functionality on top of existing networking code on an agile transmedia, multi-sub-game environment.
The role requires the ability to discuss issues, propose solutions, and be a driving force in the project regarding the networking side.
