Description: I am seeking a talented Unity game developer to create a high-quality endless flyer racing game intended for cross-platform play, including Web, Mobile (iOS and Android), and Desktop (macOS and Windows). The game will increase speed as the user progresses to multiple levels, challenging players to navigate through dynamically generated courses filled with obstacles. Each level with a different theme.

Game Genre: Racing

• The core gameplay will focus on high-speed navigation through an endless tunnel.

• Player selector screen.

• Select the different character you would like to play as.

• This should be managed from the database with loading a 3D if possible.

• No editing is required for the character at this point.

• The tunnel will twist and turn making the player move to navigate through the tunnel.

• The player will encounter dynamically generated obstacles with different objects. These objects will be different in each level and there will be many different types of obstacles in any given level. The objects will always generate at random places each time a user attempts the game.

• The progression through the game will be tracked on a leaderboard system, which will be database-driven to encourage competition and replayability.

• The leaderboard should be able to be viewed from the public without logging in.

• User gameplay head console to show score, health level, etc.

• Different objects reduce health.

• This should be managed from the database.

• The user will collect different types of items each with different scoring.

• This should be managed from the database.

• The leaderboard should have the flexibility to be cleared each week, but still be able to lookup and track historical scores.

• The player experience should be fluid and immersive, with the game pace intensifying and obstacles becoming more formidable as the player advances.

• The level the player starts at should be set in the backend database.

• The level progression should also be managed at the backend database as well.

• Set one level the player can play.

• Set multiple levels a player can play as the hit a minimum score.

• Hit the score make a smooth transition between levels.

Graphics and Art Style:

• The visual direction requires high quality 3D graphics with premium textures and intricately designed environments.

• The characters will be provided by our 3D artists.

• We will also provide a number of obstacles.

• Special effects and animations must be striking and serve to enrich the gameplay, while also maintaining performance across platforms.

• We will supply high-quality 3D models crafted in 3D MAX or BLENDER. These models will require rigging and integration into the Unity engine.

• It is crucial that the character animations and flight dynamics are highly realistic, with effects such as turbulence, wind streams, and reactive color shifts during power-ups enhancing the sense of speed and movement.


• There needs to be an onboarding process to enter the game.

• At minimum, a login/registration with credentials, reset password with MFA functionality as well as signin with google.

• I am open to further discuss this process, as I have onboarding applications on my side as it could be a secure authentication between my existing onboarding process and the developed game.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• A proven track record in Unity game development, with deep expertise in C# scripting, game physics, and dynamic game mechanics.

• A strong portfolio in racing game design, emphasizing intuitive control schemes and authentic flight physics.

• Exceptional ability in 3D modeling and texturing, capable of producing detailed and immersive game worlds.

• A flair for creating compelling special effects and character animations that elevate the game’s aesthetic and playability.

• A collaborative and detailed-oriented approach to development.

• We will need to work with the game developers to pick and choose levels/environments that work within the game.

• The game developer should be experienced to make changes to the environment and edit the obstacles and environment if needed.

Additional Requirements:

• Familiarity with implementing cross-platform functionality ensuring a seamless experience across web, mobile, and desktop.

• Most load from the database should occur before and after gameplay. Gameplay performance should be a high performance as possible with minimum lagtime.

• Understanding of in-game monetization strategies, including the integration of paywalls and in-app purchase systems.

• Proven experience in creating scalable player systems, particularly in implementing live leaderboards.

• Capability to optimize game performance for each platform, ensuring smooth gameplay on a wide range of devices.

• Excellent communication skills to provide regular updates and collaborate on creative solutions to development challenges.
