Information from phase 1 will be on SQL server.
a) Customer name and address
b) Customer’s order that day of each type of noodle
c) Total of each type of noodle for all of customers on drivers route (10 routes total)
This project is the second phase of and ordering and delivery system. Primary focus is on the Dolphin 99EX Barcode scanner, GPS, accessing orders, sending delivery amounts to Quickbooks accounting software, capturing signature, printing to blue tooth thermal printer.
The Dolphin is equipped with a GPS. In rest it will show a map. When at the customer’s location the customer’s account will be displayed showing the order quantity from the SQL (Maria) server. There are around 500 customers in total. There are about 10 products ordered. The delivered products (Noodles) will be scanned and the total number of each type displayed. The customer gets a one for one credit for day old noodles that are returned. These will be scanned. The screen of the Dolphin will display total of new items delivered and total of returns. The customer will sign to acknowledge and a receipt printed using a Bluetooth printer. The orders will be sent back using the GSM cellular network and integrated into that customers account in Quickbooks.
A report will be generated showing the total of returns and the total delivered of each type of noodle (around 10 types). It will cross reference the total loaded on the truck and calculate how many of each type should remain.
