Not just another LMS, but a Learning Eco-System. Most people have heard the idea of a flipped classroom. However, I want to flip the entire education system / process.
I am myself unemployed teacher with ambition so I cannot pay anyone, except in kind with badges of honour and the potential of future rewards from your investment of time and effort alongside mine (already 2 years in the business planning and pedagogical development). It also provides a great personal learning project that will provide a live and operation system as part of your promotional portfolio. At the end of the day however, the objective is, of course, that all 'investors' get financial dividends. Normally investors put up money to get a share in the action, something most of us have too little of. For this project, you only need invest your spare time and expert effort,
Drupal is open source, so the code and modules are provided for free. All the essential features are already provided by existing contributed modules and even entire distributions, so the actual coding/development work should be minimal at the most. This project therefore mostly involves site building and configuration, a project phase that I have already begun to the best extent of my current abilities.
