Updating a new wiki page and removing an old wiki page

I work for an organisation which has recently merged. We had a wiki page for the old company, and have set up a very basic wiki page for the new company. Ideally i would like to remove the old page as for some reason when you do an internet search for our company, it brings up the old company name but with our new company website (apparantly this is because the old wiki page is linked somehow to our web address).
We would provide the content to be included on the new wiki page, it would just be adding the copy to the wiki page, creating links etc. Also any input on how to make a successful wiki page would be appreciated.
